Come one, come all

Hear what I have to say.

I'm not your usual speech giver

But lend an ear this way.

Are you truly satisfied with the state of things?

Some higher than others just because of where they live?

I didn't think so, I hear disapproval.

Then listen, some food for thought I will give.

In my eye, every man is equal.

No one was born any less or more.

Why is it that because of status

To heavenly heights some must soar?

What is status? Wealth and money?

What is wealth? How much you possess?

Everyone lays claim to something,

Some people have more, some people have less.

Simple math. So why complicate it?

Why can't everyone enjoy the same?

No matter how wealthy a person can be

They can't stop the sun. They can't bring the rain.

So why discriminate against us peasants?

Why scorn us if we're poverty born?

We've all come from the Well of All Sparks,

And we all die, and we all mourn.

Do you, my people, enjoy life in the slums?

I didn't think so, so why live this way?

Rise up with me and claim what's ours.

We're finished with this old caste system today.

Today is the last that we will be subject

To ridicule, to being shunned.

My people, don't take my words for granted,

I'll go right to the council of Iacon!

Can't I be free to live where I want,

Do what I please and be wealthy too?

Sure I do and I'll make it happen

But all I need is support from YOU.

Yes YOU my people, my brethren, my friends,

Yes YOU who nod your heads, YOU who are applauding.

Back me up, it is for YOU I'm doing this.

I shall see this system fallen.

They will ask what a lowly gladiator

Has come out of his place to tell them now.

Today they will laugh at my unrefined chatter,

Tomorrow at my feet they will bow

Don't try to rebuke me you skeptics.

Don't try to shut me up you fools.

Can't you see that the government

Is using you as a useless tool?

I'll never stop talking, no matter what,

Until my voice flies to the farthest reach

And I'll never stop 'til all of Cybertron

Has heard the Gladiator's Speech.

Did this today while I was bored at work. It's sort of a sequel to my poem The Gladiator's Piece. In the previous poem, we get a look inside Megatronus' head, but here he is giving an actual speech, promising the people of Kaon that he will see the end of the caste system and give them a better life than they are living now.
